The Confederation of Australian International Arts Festivals (CAIAF) is a not-for-profit incorporated association of the nation’s major state-based festivals.

The objects and purposes of the Association are:

  • to facilitate the development of new Australian works in the performing arts sector, and to extend the life of these works;
  • to promote international cooperation, collaboration and presentation of new Australian works;
  • to further cultural exchange and development, and the encouragement of the arts through the support provided to the programs and activities of the members of the Association; and
  • to seek funding from all appropriate sources including Government grants, and where possible private sector sponsorship to support the activities of the Association.
